Following their break-up Croft, 39, spoke to Sunday tabloid The News Of The World revealing that he tipped off the paparazzi about his wife’s whereabouts.

‘When I did earn money by tipping people off she went mad,’ he told the News Of The World. ‘I would tell photographers where she was going and get paid for it.

‘Kerry went mental when she found out – but it didn’t stop me, I don’t feel guilty.’

‘She said: “Don’t f***** do this to me. It makes me look stupid.” I told her we get stuff out of it.

‘It is a bit sh***y but it was worth a few hundred quid. If I hadn’t done it somebody else would have done.’

And far from accepting responsibility for their split, Croft maintained his belief that his former wife was cheating on him.

He said he had already taken back her wedding and engagement rings, admitting: ‘I hate her.’

But Miss Katona could have the last laugh according to one report that alleges she will lift the lid on their relationship with a tell-all programme for Channel 4.

A story in The Sun newspaper recently claimed the reality TV star will receive £50,000 for the show.

“She went to boot camp as my Kez and came back two weeks later a completely different person. Suddenly it was all herbal teas and getting up at 5am to jog.

“The old Kez wouldn’t have lied or betrayed her kids. It’s as though she has been brainwashed.”

One minute Croft was keen to tell all about his wild sex with Kerry and how they still do it “every other night” – the next he snapped: “I would like to wring her neck. I f***ing hate her.”

Croft moved out of the family home in Wilmslow, Cheshire, after discovering his wife’s relationship with dad-of-three Kevin, 31.

Kerry, 29, fell for him at the GI Jane boot camp in Kent in January on a two-week fitness regime to lose a stone and get her weight down to 8st 7lbs.

The fallen reality TV star had sold the story of her attempted comeback to a magazine and hoped the deal would revive her fortunes after her cocaine habit led to her losing her £130,000 a year Iceland contract.

Croft – whose wild spending on cars, luxury holidays and shopping blew much of Kerry’s fortune – encouraged her to go.

“I was pleased for her – she hadn’t had work,” said the jobless cabbie.

After five days at the camp, Croft claims she begged him to visit her with their youngest child Max, one. “We only had three hours together but we made love and she was crying when I left,” said Croft.

“She’d already lost 4lbs and I told her not to go too skinny.”

Kerry asked him to return the following Friday for her passing out parade – but he said: “Suddenly she stopped answering my calls claiming she was working out or in bed, tired.”

Kerry told him not to return to boot camp but to meet her in London the following day.

Croft snarled: “I later found out why. Her muscleman was at the camp. In London I asked if I’d done something wrong. She turned her back on me. It was like a different Kez.”

They stayed at a hotel with Kerry’s daughters Molly, nine, Lilly, eight, and her kids with Croft Heidi, three, and Max.

“I tried to cuddle her but there was no love there,” said Croft. “On our way home next day we stopped for tea. We all had Burger King but Kez wouldn’t eat wheat so she had chicken popcorn from KFC. That’s all part of her new diet.

“The next day I got a text from her saying, ‘Mark we need to talk. I am not happy’.”

Croft returned home to confront her. It was Lilly’s birthday party so the pair left the children playing and went to the bedroom.

“She told me ‘Mark I don’t love you any more. It isn’t working’,” said Croft.

“I said, ‘Fair enough, there’s nothing I can do about it’. I didn’t think it was another man.

“But I had to ask her. I said, ‘Swear on the kids’ lives you haven’t met somebody else’. She said, ‘I can’t do that’.

“My stomach sank. She said it was a fitness expert called Kevin. I felt sick. She said, ‘I swear on the kids’ lives that nothing more has happened than a couple of kisses’. “I believed her because she swore on the kids’ lives.

“She said I should sleep on the top floor in the nanny’s room while we got money together for a deposit for me for a new place. I thought maybe we could work things out.”

But, just in case, caring Croft went for the valuables. “I took her engagement and wedding rings off her. I hoped she was on a bipolar downer and it would be OK. We even continued to have sex.”

Two weeks later, when the News of the World revealed Kerry had secretly met up with Kevin, she denied it. Kevin’s wife Sarah, 29, was so devastated she left her husband.

“Kerry said it was rubbish and I believed her,” said Croft.

But on February 26 he got a call from a pal claiming Kerry had lied. “Kerry told me she was at an interview in London about the fat camp when really she had been with him,” said Croft.

“He had paid for her to fly to Portsmouth where he lives. She did the boot camp interview over the phone so she could go and meet him in Wales – conniving f****r. Another time she said she’d been out with a friend in Warrington so she’d stayed at her mum’s – but she’d really met him in Wales

“She left her Hummer outside her mum’s to cover her tracks because one of my mates had seen it parked there. How premeditated is that?”

Croft had a screaming match down the phone with her. “I really lost it. I shouted at her until she cried,” he said. “She had lied to me and made me look a d**khead. She deserved it.”

Shaking his head, he added: “Imagine if something happens to one of the kids now . . . I don’t know if she is in love with him but she has lost me.”

Croft packed his bags and moved to a friend’s house. “I told the kids I was leaving because we weren’t getting on,” he said. “I had a lump in my throat. Molly cried and said, ‘Please don’t leave, we can speak to Mummy and make this better’.

“I would like custody but I think kids should be with their mum. I’ll miss her loads but I don’t want her back.” He’ll also miss the money- grabbing opportunities of being married to a star.

Croft blatantly admitted taking money for informing the paparazzi about Kerry’s whereabouts despite her begging him not to – even though she kept him in luxury with a stable of expensive supercars and glamorous holidays.

“I tipped off the photographer. When we arrived she looked at the car and blew her top at me,” he said.

“It IS a bit sh*tty but it was worth a few hundred quid. If I hadn’t done it somebody else would have done it, that’s the way I see it.”

His other favourite way of winding his wife up is to compare her to her mother Sue. I told her that her mum was a ‘f***ing pain’ who I wanted nothing to do with. And knowing exactly what buttons to press to aggravate Kez I told her she would end up just like her mum one day,” he said.

“She punched me in the face. I tormented her. I said, ‘Your mother can get f****ed.’

“I could push it to the limit, I know how to wind her up to the point she would start screaming at me. And if I wanted to really get at her I would tell her she was just like her mother.”

He admitted his goading was verging on cruelty because of Kerry’s vulnerability. “She has grade two bipolar,” he said. “Kerry is very fragile but acts like she is a big hard rock. She would cry a lot about what people said about her.

“I shouldn’t have pushed her sometimes the way I did because all she has ever wanted is to be loved. I would love to say she is taking loads of coke every week but it is the bipolar that sends her up and down, not drugs.”

Croft claimed their sex life was “fantastic” right up to the split. “She is a minx in the bedroom. We made love at least every other night – even after four years,” he said.

“We even had a bit of nookie at the MTV Awards. Let’s just say we did it in a locked place.

“Kez has a very high sex drive. We were at it all the time. Which makes me think, why does she think the grass is greener with him?”

Kerry has told him the only thing she wants in life is her career back. Croft said: “I don’t know if that is true or she wants to be with Popeye really. If they want to be together I say, ‘Fill your boots’.”

Now Croft is dating pal Sharon Thorpe, 30. “It is nothing serious and has only been since I found out about Popeye,” he claimed. “She is being a good friend to me.”

He and Kerry briefly split briefly last year after he cavorted with lap dancers in Magaluf, Spain. “I did let it go too far but I was bladdered,” Croft said. “Kerry said I was cheating but I wasn’t.

“I am having to laugh about all this or I might do myself in.”

Meanwhile Kerry yesterday returned to the boot camp where she fell for Kevin, who works there part-time.

Last night a close pal told us: “She says she is so focused on getting her career back on track she needs to stay slim.

“That’s why she said she was returning to boot camp – but I think she’s hoping to see the Marine.

“Whenever he texted her she was thrilled. She obviously thinks he is amazing.”
