Bankrupt Kerry Katona celebrated her 28th birthday by treating her hubby to ANOTHER flash motor.

Kerry defied the credit crunch by splashing out on the £70,000 Mercedes CLS - despite owing the taxman £103,327.

The former Atomic Kitten singer and her former cabbie hubby Mark Croft already had a fleet of 20 fast cars costing about £1.5million.

Kerry bought the luxury Merc after contacting finance company Duncton, which arranges car deals for buyers with a poor credit history. A source close to Kerry said: “It was her birthday not his but she is extremely generous when it comes to Mark - which is baffling because she is skint.”

Mum-of-four Kerry was declared bankrupt last month. But she and Mark, 37, live in a £1.2 million mansion in Wilmslow, Cheshire. Their cars have included four Porsches, a Ferrari, a Lamborghini, two Aston Martins, two Range Rovers and two BMWs.

Kerry spent a quiet day at home with her family yesterday after her birthday on Friday. Mark plans to take her to Dubai.

The pair had a blazing row when he discovered Kerry had sent sexy messages to a string of new male pals, the News of the World can reveal.

Kerry is recovering after going under the knife to shrink her 34GG bust to a DD and suck out TWO LITRES of fat from her tum, bum and thighs. 

According to pals, her trimmer shape has boosted her confidence and she’s been chatting to fellas in online forums and on Facebook.

One friend said: “Kerry’s got some confidence back. It’s been an ego boost for her to be considered sexy again.

“Mark caught her out and went mad about it. He’s the one who is usually the player and he doesn’t like it.”

But even though she’s slimmed down, the skint mum-of-four can’t be bothered to maintain her new figure.

Instead, she’s propped up in bed at her £1.3million Cheshire mansion chain-smoking, and scoffing curries and sausages and chips, washed down with fizzy pop.

My mum sold another story last week to a magazine and I can’t believe that after all the stories sold about me, she still manages to upset me.
If my mum wants to write me a letter, why does she have to go through the press?

Why can she not post it to me directly?

It’s like she doesn’t know where I live! But then again, surprise surprise, it was probably just for the money.

Oh, and by the way, her benefit fraud was not a ‘misunderstanding’ – my mother was guilty and she even admitted it!

I went to see Dr Stephen Hamilton at the St John & St Elizabeth Hospital in London and he was amazing.

I had a boob reduction and lift and liposuction on my stomach.

Before I went in I was shaking – even Mark and the MTV crew couldn’t calm me down – but the surgeon really reassured me.

After the operation I was bandaged up in this mad body suit – I looked like a mummy!

But now, looking at myself, I look pretty damn good!

They sucked out my hip and waist area so I’ve actually got a waist now, and I’m on the way to getting my Atomic Kitten shape back.

I look hot and it’s the best thing I’ve ever done. Apparently they sucked out three or four bags of sugar, which comes to about 2kg!

I’ve never seen my boobs look so good, they’re perfect. I can’t wait to get my sexy tops back on and show them off. Watch out world!

TROUBLED star Kerry Katona has defended exhusband Brian McFadden over claims he’s homophobic.

She set aside a legal dispute over their children to stick up for the former Westlife singer after he outraged gays with comments made on a radio show in New Zealand.
Dublin-born McFadden, 28, now engaged to Aussie beauty Delta Goodrem, told listeners: “If you are not gay, a man should not be wearing pink.

“Saying pink is a form of red is the same as saying homosexual is a form of male.”

Katona, who has two daughters Molly, six, and five-year-old Lilly- Sue with McFadden, reckons the remarks were taken out of context.

She told OK! magazine: “I obviously know Brian and, unless he’s changed drastically, he’s not homophobic.

“He’s got lots of gay friends, just look at his ex band mate from West life, Mark Feehily.”

McFadden later insisted his remarks were tongue-in cheek.
