Kerry Katona has revealed she is shattered by the collapse of her third marriage, comparing the heartbreak to like ‘there had been a death’.
The 35-year-old – who called time on her relationship with George Kay last month – did, however, rule out any future reunion with her husband.
In a candid interview with OK! Magazine, she confessed: ‘George was with me 24/7. It’s like somebody has died. He was my best friend.’
‘There is no going back with George and me,’ she added. ‘That is what hurts so much, as I know he is a good person. I just wish I could shake him.’
The former Atomic Kitten star – who has children Molly, 14, Lily-Sue, 12, Heidi, eight, Max, seven, and 19-month-old Dylan-Jorge, Kerry’s daughter with George – also claimed she will never marry another man again.
‘It’s just not meant to be I don’t think I could bring another man into my children’s lives ever again,’ she said. ‘That is just not fair – they have been through too much already.’
Kerry ended her 13-month marriage to George in early October following his arrest for alleged assault in the home.
Last month, the 35-year-old was released on bail after being charged with ‘assault by beating and possession of a prohibited weapon.’
At the time, Sussex Police told MailOnline: ‘A man has been charged in connection with a domestic incident in Crowborough earlier this month.’
He will appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on November 26, 2015.
Previously, Katona was first famously married to fellow pop band member Brian McFadden, who was at the time a member of Irish boyband Westlife.
They were married for four years and had two children together, Molly and Lilly-Sue before separating in 2006.
The singer and former queen of the I’m A Celebrity… jungle followed up her marriage to McFadden with a four-year union with Mark Croft, who she met when he allegedly tried to supply drugs to her mother Sue.
