After having four children, Kerry Katona was understandably self-conscious about the stretchmarks and saggy skin on her stomach.

But now, after undergoing a revolutionary new non-surgical treatment called Mesosculpt, Kerry is once again feeling confident enough to show off her ultra-smooth and toned stomach.

The 30-year-old star decided to seek help for the stretchmarks – a form of scarring on the skin which normally occurs during pregnancy – at Liverpool’s Bodyline Clinic.

Kerry said: ‘After four children, I still have problem areas that exercise alone won’t shift. For me it’s the skin around my tummy button.’

Talking about the Mesosculpt procedure, Kerry added: ‘Like every other woman I’m not 100 per cent confident, and of course there are things we would all change.

‘But I do feel a lot more confident about showing my stomach now, and my stretchmarks have got a lot smaller, too.’

The Mesosculpt treatment is used to remove ‘ ‘stubborn fat deposits’ and can be used on the stomach as well as other fat-prone areas such as the thighs, arms and love handles.

The technique was invented in 1952 by French practitioner Dr Michel Pistor as an alternative to surgery.

A ‘bespoke mix of vitamins, minerals and amino acids’ is injected just under the skin’s surface with a treatment gun. The clinic claims this helps reduce sagging skin and helps improve blood flow to the area while reducing cellulite.

The Bodyline Clinic recommends having sessions every fortnight, with a course of six costing around £650.

Kerry’s aesthetic practitioner Warren Millington told Heat: ‘We gave Kerry six sessions, each lasting around 20 minutes.
‘I don’t think she believed me when I first explained what we could achieve but she’s very pleased with the results.’

While the Mesosculpt treatment is a non-surgical procedure, Kerry has a history of seeking surgical help to achieve the perfect body.

In 2009 she spent £15,000 on a drastic liposuction procedure, before putting the two stone she lost back on in just two
months.

But Kerry has since adopted a much more positive attitude about exercise and weight loss, and recently released her own fitness DVD, but insisted the DVD is more about mental attitude rather than promoting skinniness.

During an interview on This Morning recently, Kerry said: ‘Do you want me to be honest with you? I don’t want to be a celebrity who promotes skinniness to be successful.

‘This isn’t about being skinny, it’s about mental, I mean – not that I’m mental – it’s about mental attitude.

‘I mean everyone knows how well-documented my life has been. If it wasn’t for me exercising – it’s how it makes me feel in my head, the bonus is it makes you look good.

‘If Kerry Katona can get off kebabs, get off her drugs, get off her bum – if I can do it, anyone can do it. I don’t want to be a mum to my kids like, “To be successful in life you need to be skinny,” It really helps mentally.’
