For some people, turning 30 is either embraced with a huge celebration or commiserated with lots of moaning about the loss of their 20s and getting old.

But Kerry Katona appeared to have settled for the first option as she breezed into London today, looking ready to party and mark reaching that all-important milestone.

The reality TV star, who celebrated her 30th today, couldn’t contain her excitement as she arrived at the May Fair Hotel.

She smiled brightly for the cameras as she got out of the car and even appeared to do a little dance for them as she headed inside.

She showed off her trim figure in salmon pink skinny jeans, a long-sleeved T-shirt with an Eiffel Tower motif, and a gun metal coloured leather jacket.

She was in a good birthday spirits as she stopped and larked about for the photographers and a camerawoman who was filming for her new reality TV show.

But Kerry will not be having her own party to mark the special occasion today.

Instead she is a guest at this year’s TV Choice Awards which takes place at the Dorchester Hotel on Park Lane tonight.

Kerry will get her own celebration though, as agent Claire Powell is believed to be throwing her a party at her house in Surrey.

And the TV star has been busy pampering herself ahead of the bash this weekend, with several trips to beauty salons to have her hair done and her eyebrows waxed.

Two weeks ago, she also spent two hours being fitted for her party frock at Mayfair boutique Doly, which she collected last Friday.

With her TV crew in tow, Kerry told staff that she planned to wear the dress to a ‘very special, private occasion’ this weekend.

After spending an hour in the shop, she left clutching her new dress in a pink bag to hide it from prying eyes.
