REFORMED Kerry Katona is now a white van fan after falling head over heels in love with a painter and decorator who still lives with his parents.

The new look mum-of-four is on cloud nine thanks to a string of secret nights with blond handyman Adam Waldron.

We can reveal that former Atomic Kitten star Kerry has been sneaking up to Warrington from her swanky new £3,500-a-month home in Surrey because she can’t stand to be away from her new fella.

Last night, a close pal of the I’m A Celebrity winner said: “Adam is her perfect man. She’s absolutely mad about him.

“Even though everyone has told her to keep away from men, Kerry can’t help herself with Adam.”

Besotted Kerry made the 200-mile journey TWICE last week, and was snapped on Thursday outside the modest bungalow owned by Adam’s folks.

The 29-year-old also spent Friday night with Adam, 33, at a friend’s home in Warrington. And she was in the car when he was dropped off at his parents’ place the next morning.

The pal added: “Kerry is in a right pickle. One of the new rules of her management company was that she moved down south to be near them.

“Well, you can take the girl out of Warrington but you can’t take Warrington out of the girl.

“She is extremely vulnerable after dumping Mark. She’s using every opportunity to get back up north to be with Adam.

“She has met a lovely down-to-earth lad and being in love is all that matters to her.”

After meeting on Facebook it was love at first site for the pair. Their first face-to-face rendezvous was over a coffee a couple of weeks ago when Kerry was in the area to see her mum Sue, 53.

“For the first time in ages she is smiling again,” said her friend. “Kerry’s on cloud nine and absolutely adores Adam.

“But she can’t believe that the minute she moves away from home she finds someone really nice on her old doorstep.”

Adam owns a small decorating firm which brings in around £500 a week. The working guy is a far cry from Kerry’s disastrous ex, chubby chancer and ex-cabbie Mark Croft, 39. After they split this year following three years of marriage, crafty Croft told the News of the World how he helped squander £6 MILLION of Kerry’s cash on drugs, booze and a fleet of supercars before she was made bankrupt.

Adam, however, drives a 2004 Ford Transit van and charges £15 an hour for his brush strokes. Outside work, he gets about in a VW Golf.

He supports rugby league team Warrington Wolves, plays golf and enjoys a pint and a game of pool with his mates after work. The friend explained: “Adam is a good lad – the opposite of Mark. He lives in a nice area on the right side of Warrington and isn’t all about money. He is comfortable but not rolling in it, and is happy to treat Kerry.

“Because he’s a bit older, he’s not bothered about going on wild benders and partying. He’s happy to just spend time with Kerry.

“She’s told Adam that even if he’s with her for her money, he’s picked the wrong girl because she hasn’t got any left! Adam just laughed it off and told her to stop being daft.”

He is living with his mum and dad after splitting with a girlfriend.

Kerry, who is mum to Molly, eight, Lilly-Sue, seven, Heidi, three and two-year-old Maxwell, has not introduced Adam to friends or the kids yet. Yesterday, she went to her half-brother Paul Armstrong’s wedding, but without Adam.

The pal said: “Kerry would have loved to take him but she knew it was Paul and his new wife’s big day. She didn’t want to steal the spotlight.”

Meanwhile, Kerry missed out on daughter Lilly-Sue’s First Communion in Ireland. With proud dad Brian McFadden looking on, the smiling tot looked angelic in a white meringue dress complete with veil for the Catholic ceremony in Dublin.

Kerry moved south after dumping her addictions to bad men, booze and cocaine. She’s rebuilding her career with the help of her new PR guru Claire Powell, who once managed Jordan.

And now that’s on track, Kerry is planning to rebuild her personal life with Adam.

The friend said: “She’s chuffed that Adam hasn’t got kids because she’d like more.

“She loves him to bits already because he’s not interested in her as a celebrity. He doesn’t want to be part of her career or do photoshoots.

“Kerry is a different person now. She’s not into drinking or drugs and she’s only ever met Adam when she’s been sober.

“He’s seen her for what she really is and likes her a lot.

“Adam is really nice. He’s not like any guy Kerry has met before. She really likes him and is seeing how things go

“She doesn’t know if she’s ready for a full-on relationship just yet but she is really enjoying spending time with him.

“But Kerry is committed to her new life down south. She likes her new home in Surrey and has been incredibly busy with work commitments.”

It now looks like the old face of Iceland has found Mr Right to help her turn her life around.

“She’s convinced Adam is not after her for the cash she might have one day,” said the friend. “Adam is nothing like Mark. He’s a nice lad and works hard.

“Mark was just a chancer and was only out for what he could get from Kerry – which was pretty much everything.”

“We all hope she’s finally found a decent bloke now she’s got her life back on track.”
