 Kerry Katona in tears after bank meeting as strain of financial turmoil takes a toll

Kerry Katona broke down in tears after visiting her bank over the weekend as the extent of her financial woes hit home.

The 29-year-old reality star went in for a meeting at the at the branch in Wilmslow, Cheshire, while her husband Mark Croft waited in the car.

She emerged some time later in a flood of tears, hiding her face from photographers as she made her way back

The former Atomic Kitten singer, who was made bankrupt last year, is now in an even more difficult financial state after losing her £250,000-a-year job as the face of Iceland.


She was fired from the lucrative role with the supermarket giant after she was caught snorting cocaine and later cautioned by police.

She was later arrested for allegedly assaulting her financial adviser David McHugh, whom she blames for her money troubles.

But McHugh has accused her husband of being reckless with her money.

‘In one year alone Mark Croft spent about £1m on flash cars and motorbikes. He’d buy a Ferrari for £200,000, then a few months later trade it in for a £90,000 Porsche,’ he told the Daily Star.

‘The cars were changed every other week. They went through Porsches, Ferraris, Aston Martins, Range Rovers, Mercedes, Lamborghinis, BMWs. You name it, they had it.’

Friends are said to be urging Kerry to enter rehab in the US, but she is said to be unable to even cover the cost of an airfare.

Despite her distressed state, Kerry insisted in a magazine interview this week: ‘I’m not suicidal – I never have been.’

As well as her legal and financial woes, she is also facing a custody battle with her former husband Brian McFadden over their daughters Molly, seven and Lilly Sue, six.

The former Westlife star said last week he was even prepared to put his career in Australia on hold to move back to Ireland to provide a home for the girls.

McFadden said he thought the authorities would be on his side, citing: ‘The videos of Kerry doing cocaine and all the manic craziness that seems to be going on. People getting arrested and just this real unstable environment.’

‘If we do have to go to a full custody battle I will come back to Ireland. All I care about now is making sure the kids are happy and safe.’

    I hope you manage to read this message.
    I have never been one to judge other people and Im not gonna start now.
    I really think you need to get help honey and stop lying to yourself that your problems are cos of other people.
    I had to do it myself, I blamed everyone around me when really it was me.
    You need to get away from people who bring you down.
    You can stand on your own two feet and you need to for the sake of your 4 children.
    If you cant do it for them then do it for yourself hun.
    You more than likely think you need these people but you dont.
    Why dont find yourself a nice home for the 5 of you and get out of the lime light and just live a happy life.
    All the time the camras are following you, you will not be happy.

    Kerry, you are a drug addict. You are ruining your life and you don’t have the right to do that. You are ruining your kid’s lives and you don’t have the right to do that either.
    I am not judging you Im just saying it how it is. You are fooling no body but yourself.
    For God’s sake! Get Help!! Life is soo beautiful. But the real beauty does not lie in the false world of drugs.
