Kerry’s estranged husband Mark Croft has reported her children’s nanny to police for alleged ASSAULT.

The former cabbie was returning the couple’s two youngsters after a 10-day ­access stay when he says he got into a blazing row with the childminder.

He claims she tried to drag one of his children off his leg when he refused to hand them back after he learned Kerry was not at home to receive them.

Croft, 40, reportedly told the shocked nanny: “What the f***k do you think you are doing. Get your f***ing hands off my kids.”

He eventually ­agreed to leave them after Kerry came back from a trick or treat jaunt last Sunday with her other two children by ex-husband Brian McFadden.

The day after the bust-up, at Kerry’s rented home near Godstone, Surrey, police called to take a statement from the nanny.

Croft, who admits he squandered millions of Kerry’s earnings on fancy cars and holidays during their colourful four-year marriage, gave his version of events to The People.

He said: “Kerry was to come to Warrington to pick the kids up but at the last minute she asked me to drive down because of work ­commitments. When I rang to be let in, the nanny answered saying Kerry was out trick or treating as it was Halloween.

“The nanny drove down to the gate. I was standing there with our children holding on to my legs and the nanny tried to snatch one of them off me.

“I told her in no uncertain times to get her hands off my children and there was no way I was handing them back unless Kerry turned up. Eventually she ­arrived and took them off me.

“My solicitor ­advised me to file a complaint against the nanny for assault. I’m being interviewed tomorrow afternoon by Greater Manchester Police.

“Kerry and I have not spoken since and I am due to have the children again next weekend. Things are going from bad to worse between us.

Surrey police said they were: “Notified of an alleged assault. Officers attended the address. Enquiries into this incident and a subsequent public order allegation are continuing. No arrests have been made.”

Kerry’s spokesman said: “It is a family matter. We cannot comment.”
