DISTRAUGHT Kerry Katona broke down after her glitzy 30th birthday bash and sobbed: “I just want to go home to Warrington.”

The ex-Atomic Kitten left her home town to move to posh Surrey in April in a last-ditch bid to resurrect her career.

But the dream move to a luxury seven-bedroom mansion has turned into a nightmare.

She HATES it down south and desperately misses her mum and pals.

On top of that, she hasn’t made enough money and will have to move out of the mansion because she can no longer afford the £3,500-a-month rent.

After her party in Sussex last weekend, Kerry told northern pals that she’s at breaking point.

She downed cocktails and served guests steak and kidney pies before weeping: “I can’t cope with life here.

“This is all false, I don’t want to be here any more.”

Now she is on the brink of giving up and moving back north to her modest flat in Warrington.

A source said: “She just wants to get back to being Kez. She misses home. She has no friends down there.

“Now she’s got to down-scale her house too. It is too much and she’s thinking of turning her back on it all.”

Kerry is making frequent 400-mile round trips home because she is feeling so lonely.

The only serious relationship she’s had since April has been with Warrington handyman Adam Waldron, 33.

She even tried online dating and met kick-boxer Scott Gibson, 29. “But he didn’t even go to the party,” said our source.
Kerry is also worried about her kids – Heidi, three, Max, two, Molly, eight, and seven-year-old Lilly-Sue – who miss home and her estranged hubby Mark Croft.

The source added: “She is so miserable and thinks if she moved back north her life would be simpler.”
