Newly single Kerry Katona smartens up for a pub lunch

After clearing her estranged husband’s belongings out of her house yesterday, no wonder Kerry Katona’s in a good mood.

The smiling reality TV star looked remarkably smart as she dressed up for a pub lunch with her mother in Warrington this afternoon.

While Katona was neatly dressed in a pair of tight fitting jeans, black shirt and boots, her mother Sue looked like she’d just rolled out of bed in her grey tracksuit and fleece gillet

The pair have shared a tempestuous relationship over the years, but appear to be getting on better these days.

In January Kerry had to evict her mother from the terraced house in Warrington Cheshire she bought her so she could sell it to raise funds and clear debts.


And the pair have not always seen eye-to-eye, with the former Atomic Kitten singer blaming her for introducing her to drugs and accusing her of selling stories to the tabloids.

Meanwhile, across town today Kerry’s ex Mark Croft was spotted looking miserable at work.

But without his wife’s celebrity to finance their lifestyle, Croft has decided to focus his attention on his used car business.

The former cabbie, 39, became a partner in the Chapel Walks Garage in Padgate last October.

So while Katona was enjoying a nice lunch, a sad-looking Croft was seen parading on the forecourt of his garage hoping to sell one of his second-hand motors.

No doubt he was feeling miserable after seeing photos of his estranged wife dumping his belongings in a skip the day before.

Katona spent most of Monday hauling bags and bags full of Croft’s clothes out of her £1.5million home.

The couple, who have been married for three years, publicly split last week

Ex-cabbie Mark had become jealous after Kerry returned from a boot camp which saw her lose a stone in two weeks.

A friend told The Sun: ‘Kerry came back feeling like a million dollars. But Mark, always one to think the worst of her, was convinced she had been seeing someone

‘It was ridiculous but he wouldn’t let it lie and they had a huge bust-up. She told him “We’re finished”.’

A source close to Kerry told MailOnline that the couple have definitely split, but insisted that the cheat allegations are untrue.

Last week, a report in The Sun newspaper claimed Miss Katona has sold her story on the separation to a Channel 4 tell-all programme for £50,000.

Their relationship has always been a turbulent one but Kerry has vowed that this time, they will not be getting back together.

Our insider said: ‘It’s fair to say Kerry and Mark are certainly not together at the moment.

‘But she is not seeing anyone else and there has not been any cheating at all. Those allegations are wide of the mark.’

Our source added: ‘She’s told him to move out and I believe he has done.

‘But, remember they have split up around three times in the last year so who knows what will happen.’

Katona and Croft got engaged after just five weeks together in March 2006 and married on Valentine’s Day 2007.
