She’s never really been considered a fashion icon, with several wardrobe mishaps under her belt since she shot to fame as part of Atomic Kitten.

But now Kerry Katona has added another string to her bow, becoming a catwalk queen as she took to the runway to launch Liverpool Fashion Week.

The 30-year-old star wore a series of sexy minidresses from clothing line Glam Boutique on the catwalk, smiling widely as she made the most of her moment in the fashion limelight.

And she wasn’t the only one who was enjoying the event, as her mother Sue was watching from the balcony at Liverpool’s Bambooo club proudly, taking photographs of her daughter to commemorate the occasion.

But there was no sign of Carl Machin, a tour manager for Peter Andre who Kerry was romantically linked to earlier this month.

The mother-of-four even came forward in her column in OK! magazine to deny the romance, insisting she is happy being single

She wrote: ‘I’m happy staying single because I’m petrified of it going wrong. The thought of having to answer to someone scares the hell out of me.

‘Even if I met someone and got thunderbolts, relationships are too much hassle with the rubbish that gets written.’

And Kerry certainly looked more than happy, smiling continuously as she took her turn on the catwalk.

As well as showing off her svelte new figure in the tight outfits, Kerry also displayed a new hairstyle, having tamed her short blonde bob into a trendy quiff at the front.

But she kept her new tattoo hidden – a huge phoenix tattoo on her upper back which she had done to cover a previous inking of her ex-husband Mark Croft’s name.

Speaking recently about the new etching, Kerry said: ‘It’s a massive phoenix with wings and flames on it.

‘It took 4 hours and it hurt so much that it’s still not finished!

‘The phoenix stands for rising from the ashes, new beginnings and change, which is exactly what I want right now!
