She might be famous for doing absolutely nothing – but that hasn’t stopped Kerry Katona’s career sinking to new depths.

The former Atomic Kitten singer has been saved from a potential nosedive after teaming up with Max Clifford for the second time.

A fortnight ago, it looked like Kerry’s run in the limelight was over and she would be heading for the Job Centre after her agent dropped her.

CAN Associates, which is run by Claire Powell, ended their working relationship with the troubled reality TV star on June 16

The announcement came following a flurry of wild drinking benders in Marbella and a six-hour booze spree on her return to the UK.

The management split threatened Kerry to lose her OK! magazine column and £1 million in various other deals.

Since breaching her contract, CAN are also demanding that Kerry gives back the rent payments and school fees they paid on her behalf.

Speaking of her Spanish partying, a friend told News Of The World: ‘She was clearly out of control.

‘She was trying to grope everyone and even went to the toilet with the door wide open. It wasn’t comfortable to watch her in that sort of state.

‘At one point Kerry ended up vomiting… For a long time Claire had been drug testing Kerry on a fortnightly basis to ensure she was off drugs. But they both gave up because all Kerry wanted to do was go out and party.’

But Max seems to have saved the day by rekindling their working relationship.

Last night, the pair posed outside Semplice restaurant with beaming smiles, clutching each other in a display of affection and unity.

The 30-year-old dressed for the summer weather in a loose black dress and sleeveless denim waistcoat.

She teamed the outfit with a cropped pixie haircut, sandals and cream crochet bag.

Max, 68, also dressed down in the humidity by wearing shorts and a short-sleeved shirt.

The former Dancing On Ice contestant fired Max back in 2008, following her disastrous interview with Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on This Morning.

The mum-of-four appeared on the ITV show slurring her words, which led Max to speak out and express his worries over her drinking and the controlling relationship between her and then-husband Mark Croft.

But the pair have always been close, with Max dubbing Kerry his ‘adopted daughter’ and Kerry naming her only son after Clifford.

Max has a history of resurrecting careers that have sunk into oblivion.

His latest signing is Imogen Thomas, the Big Brother model at the heart of the Ryan Giggs super injunction scandal following their six-month affair.

He also represented Jade Goody despite the Celebrity Big Brother race row with Shilpa Shetty in 2007.
