Being Kerry Katona’s life coach is a professional calling card on a par with being named Naomi Campbel l ‘s anger- management trainer – or, for that matter, boss of the England football team.

For the past tumultuous year – during which she has been caught taking cocaine and seen her second marriage implode – the troubled Miss Katona has been paying regular visits to Stubley Hall near Rochdale, Lancashire, the home of Nik and Eva Speakman, which they are selling for £2.45million.

The couple, who made their fortune with a successful financial services company, have reinvented themselves as life coaches to the rich and (sort of) famous.

Their curious treatments include seating patients in the back of a vintage DeLorean sports car, so that they can travel ‘back to the future’ to confront past demons.

Sadly, Ms Katona is still a work in progress – as last month’s Channel 4 documentary showed. Viewers were treated to the former Atomic Kitten singer screaming abuse at her family and dancing wildly in her kitchen while exhorting her ‘boring’ children to join in.

But the Speakmans have had better luck with other celebrity patients, including Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh, who credits the Speakmans’ therapy with curing her phobiaof motorway driving. Camelot has hired them to counsel National Lottery winners about how to deal with new-found wealth and the roster of other ‘stars’ who have trooped up the drive at Stubley Hall include Katona’s former Atomic Kitten bandmate Liz McClarnon and Nadia Almada, the transsexual winner of the fifth series of Big Brother.

‘We passionately believe that people can change,’ says Nik, 48. ‘We can’t talk about our patients. But what I will say about Kerry is that since she has been seeing us, she has become so much better.’
